FC Cincinnati 2 fell to Huntsville City FC, 4-0, Wednesday night at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville, Alabama. The result denies the Orange and Blue’s attempt to win three straight.

Huntsville’s Maximus Ekk scored early in the first half, converting on a shot in the 14th minute. The home side carried the momentum into the second half where they scored three goals with Ekk adding a second and Leo Christiano and Malachi Molina adding one each.

The FC Cincinnati Academy continued to see players make MLS NEXT Pro contributions through the 2026 campaign. Gavin DeHart, who has made four appearances for FC Cincinnati 2 this year, picked up his first career start, playing a full 90-minutes.

Amin Ibrahim and Chance Malilo made their MLS NEXT Pro debuts against Huntsville, with the pair coming on for the final 30 minutes of the match. Four academy players have now made league debuts this season (Ryan Schlotterbeck, Gavin DeHart).

FC Cincinnati 2 host Chattanooga FC this Sunday, May 17, at Scudamore Field at NKU Soccer Stadium at 7 p.m. ET. Tickets for the match are available and can be claimed through the FC Cincinnati App. The match will also stream live on OneFootball platforms and on MLSNEXTPro.com.
